PAYMENT
HLJ accepts all major credit cards and PayPal. You can make payments directly through HarperLeeJewelry.com using all major credit cards. If you prefer to make payment through Paypal, please send an e-mail to admin@harperleejewelry.net which includes the item that you would like to purchase along with all details needed to fulfill your order and I will send you an invoice through Paypal for you to purchase!:)
Ohio state residents are subject to a 7.25% sales tax.

Please check your e-mail often! If I have a question/concern regarding your order, communication will be sent via e-mail.
CANCELLATIONS
Order Cancellations are accepted within 24 hours of the order being placed. After this 24 hour grace period, NO cancellations will be honored.
SHIPPING
I ship orders daily M-F, excluding holidays.
Items are made and shipped in the order they are received. All items ship from my Ohio workspace via USPS First Class with tracking information. Priority Mail upgrades, as well as Rush Order upgrades, are available upon request.
Please understand that all deliveries are subject to the Terms of Use and Services policy of the USPS. I provide tracking on all orders. Once packages leave my possession, it is up to the buyer to track their order. If a package is lost, every effort will be made to assist in locating your item. This may include initiating a lost package report with the USPS or filing a mail theft claim with your local police department. Please let me know immediately if your package has not arrived (within the United States) within seven business days from your reception of tracking information.
International orders also ship with tracking, but sometimes will not update after leaving the United States and while clearing customs in their destination country. International orders can take up to 8 weeks to arrive depending on transit and customs clearance. I have no control over customs delays affiliated with international orders.
I SHIP TO THE ADDRESS PROVIDED AT CHECKOUT
I can NOT edit the shipping address for your purchase. Please be sure that your address or the intended recipients address is accurate PRIOR TO PAYMENT. Customers wanting their item shipped to an address OTHER THAN the one registered at the time of purchase, MUST edit the "Ship To" address during checkout or they will be asked to resubmit their order with updated shipping information. Orders returned to me due to an inaccurate mailing address provided at checkout, will be the sole responsibility of the BUYER. Reshipping fees will be paid by BUYER before reshipments occur.
While custom orders are encouraged, please understand that once your order is placed, the materials needed to complete your custom piece are ordered immediately. If a cancellation is required, please let me know ASAP. Cancellations will not be processed more than 24 hours after a custom order is placed.
Though rare, USPS delays and other complications can arise. I can only guarantee the date your purchase is taken to the post office for shipping. HLJ cannot, guarantee when any package will arrive at it's destination. International buyers are responsible for their individual countries' taxes and fees. I will NOT alter a customs label in any way, please do not ask.
UK BUYERS
The UK has a very low threshold for imported items. Purchases over $23 (£15) are subject to a VAT fee. There is also a handling fee of £8 payable to Royal Mail. I have NO control over these fees/taxes. Please be sure that you are comfortable with these fees before purchasing from HLJ.

If an item is returned to me because of failure to pay the VAT fees, your purchase will be refunded MINUS the shipping cost.
REFUNDS AND EXCHANGES
Custom and personalized orders are NON-REFUNDABLE. Also, shipping charges are NON-REFUNDABLE unless your purchase is canceled before your item is shipped.
If you're unhappy with your purchase for any reason, please contact me so I can correct the problem.
Non-Personalized, Non-Custom Items returned in their original condition within 10 days of item receipt will be given a refund of the item price less shipping. Please contact me before shipping an item back so I can help you with shipping instructions.
ADDITIONAL POLICIES AND FAQS
Like all metals, those used in the creation of your jewelry may scratch with wear/friction and will age over time depending on frequency of wear. They may also tarnish depending on the pH of your body chemistry and the care given to the piece ie. worn in the shower, pool (chemicals), prolonged sun exposure, etc. Some people have reactions to plated metals, sterling and even gold. These can range from minor skin irritation to the metal turning black. These reactions are unique to the individual. If you are sensitive to a particular metal, PLEASE let me know BEFORE purchase.
ABOUT THE METALS HLJ USES
Aluminum : Lightweight and durable, aluminum will never rust or tarnish, making it a great alternative to sterling. Please note that it is lightweight.
Copper : Copper will naturally patina over time. It can be lightly buffed to return it to it's natural shine. Some people are sensitive to copper, if you have metal allergies, please do not order copper jewelry.
Brass/Bronze/NuGold : These gold tones are composed of copper and zinc. They are an alloy of copper meaning it has most of the same attributes. It will darken over time and can be lightly buffed/polished to return it to it's natural shine.
Pewter : Pewter is considered the fourth precious metal in the world after platinum, gold and silver. Pewter is an alloy of tin and copper. Pewter does not tend to tarnish, but those sensitive to copper may have a reaction causing it to darken. Light buffing/polishing it will return it to it's natural shine.
Gold Fill : Gold filled metal is a thick layer of 14k gold pressure bonded to copper or brass. It is hundreds of times thicker and more durable than plated metals. Gold filled is not gold plated as gold filled contains more gold than gold plated metals. It is much more valuable and tarnish resistant than gold plated. It will not flake off, rub off or turn colors, and will last as long as 14K gold. Anyone who can wear gold, can wear gold filled without the worries of an allergic reaction.
Sterling Silver : Sterling silver is a precious metal. It is a durable and heavy weight material. It will tarnish over time and this process can be accelerated depending on your skin pH. Please know that while most commercial sterling is rhodium plated to help prevent tarnishing, HLJs sterling is not. Your jewelry will need to be cleaned regularly and stored in an air tight container while not being worn.
HANDSTAMPING IS NOT ENGRAVING. Most engraved jewelry today is made by machine. Engraving removes the surface layer of metal. Hand stamping is accomplished one character/design at a time using a steel rod. Each stamp is hammered into the metal creating an impression. The impression displaces the metal which can result on markings on the reverse side.

I DO NOT offer refunds or exchanges on items because they are too large or too small, it is your responsibility to make sure the items you order are the right size. If you are unsure of your bracelet size, please let me know so I can help you measure your wrist BEFORE you place an order!

I send ALL orders with the receipt. If you are purchasing an item as a gift, PLEASE let me know at checkout so I can make sure NOT to include the receipt for your purchase.
